Site Programme by Mehul Jethwa

Commended for Digital Drafting Award 2024

De Montfort University Leicester, UK

‘The drawing showcases a village design prioritising functionality and sustainability. It features oast towers for reed drying, a traditional nod, and a bustling resource center as the heart of community life. A lighthouse stands tall, serving as both a guide and a symbol of readiness for challenges. New reed houses blend with the marshland, showing innovative adaptation. A workshop promotes self-sufficiency, championing craftsmanship and repair.

Noteworthy is the village's commitment to environmental responsibility. Repurposing materials from flood-risk structures by 2043 illustrates proactive climate change mitigation. Recycling minimises waste and prepares for potential flooding due to rising sea levels.’

Zoom Room by Ryan Sotelo

Commended for Digital Drafting Award 2024

University of New Mexico, USA

‘This is a drawing of my room during the pandemic. Being confined to my bedroom during architecture schooling was extremely hard and I had to find ways to keep myself occupied. By documenting every object in my room and how it moves throughout it, an archive of this point in my life was created. I look back on this drawing as the only evidence of how I lived countless days within a single room, waiting for the world to open back up.’

MicroStation is the instrument professionals rely on to design, model, and manage infrastructure.

It’s more sophisticated than a tool – it’s an accessible instrument that offers power, control, efficiency, and security. It excels at enabling innovative design and creative visualizations and consolidates critical project elements in a single environment for effective, secure project deliverables. It’s built to scale from the smallest to the largest of infrastructure projects that can span days, months, or years. And it’s the foundation that supports the entire Bentley modeling ecosystem.
