This Award recognises work that is not realistic in style, but instead uses stylisation, abstraction, atmosphere, and visual language to communicate ideas with clarity and character. The Award celebrates illustration as a powerful tool for interpretation, storytelling, and design communication.

The floral farm seeks to materialize the analogy of the flower field as a way of understanding the random events that make fortuitous encounters possible. The field becomes the reflection of a dynamic in which nothing is fixed, where each space remains undefined, but in perpetual rewriting. In this sense, architecture is built through successive touches, from found materials that come to nourish a structure that is always unfinished. Fragments of reclaimed masonry, broken terracotta pots, or reused vases participate in creating a form, which traces the first stages of a story in the making. Architecture becomes the [Space] of the [Field] of the possible(s). It welcomes subtle contingencies rather than constraining them to remain “outside.”

Garden Transcripts - Field of System and Play by David Kuchashvili

Garden Transcripts treats the garden as a semantic field of archetypal forms — hortus conclusus, labyrinth, grotto, theatre, and greenhouse — reinterpreted as a contemporary system of transmission. Emerging from the genius loci of Chuhuiv, it translates the layered memory of place into a spatial language of images and scenarios. The garden operates as a shifting narrative field, where temporary structures activate different modes of perception. Rather than a fixed composition, it becomes a staged ecology — a closed yet permeable world where memory, imagination, and landscape continuously rewrite one another.

Discover Wonder at Earls Court by Jarrell Goh for Studio Egret West

This celebratory piece acts as a visual finale, translating Studio Egret West's vast Earls Court masterplan into a single drawing. Rather than relying on conventional architectural drawing formats, the artwork is rendered as an intricate tapestry that breaks the complex scheme down into a woven patchwork of 'character areas'. The composition guides your eye through the design, using layered visual planes to spotlight the new central parks and squares, major pedestrian connections, and rhythmic building layouts that define the future neighbourhood.

October Receding Water Period: Morning Labour at the Dock by Hongji Zhu

This illustration portray the 1982 garment workers' strike in Manhattan, a pivotal moment led predominantly by immigrant Asian women. These workers, many of whom were recent arrivals earning low wages, rallied against employers who subjected them to hazardous working conditions and unfair pay. They demanded protections and fair contracts through union representation.
