Archisource presents our annual - free to enter - open to all international drawing competition

in partnership with Affinity

Celebrating the very best outstanding drawings and imagery created around the world by students and professionals. The widely recognised aspirational award series showcases the most accomplished works.

We truly believe in the power of drawings and the Drawing of the Year celebrates and gives platform to the very best talents across the world. Receiving thousands of entries each year, the annual competition is back for a fourth year and for our biggest year ever - with £30,000 GBP ($35,000 USD) worth of prizes to be won across 5 award categories!

We’re also excited to announce that Affinity are gifting Affinity V2 Universal Licence for free to everyone who enters!

We are very proud to announce that the Drawing of the Year 2022 is free to enter for everyone.

Our mission is to support and unite the creative community at all skill levels; we’re very excited to bring you the biggest and most inclusive competition of its kind that celebrates talent without boundaries. This is a truly accessible-for-all competition where creatives of all levels and all backgrounds can be rightly recognised for their skills at the highest level.

Drawings are very powerful tools, and the competition awards those that have excelled in creating works that need no words to stand out.

We want to give special thanks to Affinity for supporting the Drawing of the Year 2022, Bentley’s MicroStation for supporting this year’s Architectural Award. Thanks also to our competition supporters ARki App, Fritz Hansen, reMarkable and to our prize partners for providing an unrivalled collection of creative prizes - all of who have made it possible for us to build the most inclusive competition of it’s kind!

Each category is judged on: Originality of approach, style and/or content; use of media and the graphic and aesthetic quality; ability to represent and communicate intent or narrative; extent of impact and proposition.

All entries are entered into all the categories giving you the best chance of being recognised for one of the awards.

The Drawing of the Year is a widely-recognised, aspirational award series for the architecture and design community - past winners have gone on to kickstart their careers with their own design studios and even working on prestigious films.

+ INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATION FOR THE SHORTLIST

The winners and commendations will be published internationally to hundreds of thousands across our website, social media and as part of the Virtual Exhibition.

The shortlist will be published in the internationally available ‘IDEAS POCKETBOOK 2023’ publication; the ultimate inspiration reference. Check out 2022 Edition featuring last year’s shortlist.

+ OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION
