ZHA redefined architecture for the 21st century with a repertoire of projects that have captured imaginations across the globe. Creating buildings uniquely tailored to the communities they serve, ZHA has been awarded the highest honours from professional and academic institutions worldwide. Founded by Dame Zaha, ZHA is one of the world’s most innovative architectural studios—and has been for almost 50 years. These five decades of detailed research are inscribed within ZHA’s buildings which become more spatially inventive, more structurally efficient, more technologically advanced, and more environmentally considerate with each new design. Combining pioneering architectural solutions with ecologically sound materials and sustainable construction practices, ZHA’s architecture meets the aspirations of a new generation.

AKT II is a design-led, interdisciplinary engineering practice working at the intersection of architecture, engineering and research. Our integrated specialisms span the built environment, bringing together diverse expertise to deliver precise, efficient solutions.

At the London Create exhibition, we present our perspective on the full power of “Londonness”, a convergence of cultures and expertise that drives excellence in the delivery of international projects. Here, we share a selection of this work, developed with leading UK and international clients, architects and industry specialists.

The exhibition also reflects our research-led approach, highlighting material innovation and academic collaborations. These are supported through our foundation ownership model with Tyréns in Sweden, extending design thinking through applied research and experimentation.

The AADRL presents an evolving snapshot of architectural research, experimentation, and collaboration developed within the lab, featuring work produced through research conducted in recent years. Since its founding in 1997, the programme has explored advanced methods in design, computation, and manufacturing, positioning architecture as a mode of enquiry capable of responding to the challenges of our time.

The exhibition reflects an adaptive and open-ended approach to architecture, developed through methodology that span scales from the city to the nanoscale. Central to the work is participation: self-organised, international teams collaborate across disciplines, challenging conventions and expanding the social and material agency of architectural practice.

Rather than a finished statement, the AADRL reveals architecture as a continuous process: speculative, collective, and in constant evolution.

Mamou-Mani Architects is an award-winning, RIBA-chartered architecture and design studio based in London, led by Arthur Mamou-Mani. We create architecture, installations, products, and experiences that blend the digital and physical, nature and technology, design and craftsmanship.

Rooted in sustainability, innovation, and research, we use computational design and insights from mathematics and natural systems to develop elegant, efficient solutions.
