EXPERIENCE PIONEERING DESIGNERS
London Creates invites visitors to experience how architecture, engineering, design thinking and technology are advancing new possibilities for the built environment. Curated in collaboration with ZHA, the headline showcase explores how the practice designs using the latest technologies to lead their research
ZHA redefined architecture for the 21st century with a repertoire of projects that have captured imaginations across the globe. Creating buildings uniquely tailored to the communities they serve, ZHA has been awarded the highest honours from professional and academic institutions worldwide. Founded by Dame Zaha, ZHA is one of the world’s most innovative architectural studios—and has been for almost 50 years
These five decades of detailed research are inscribed within ZHA’s buildings which become more spatially inventive, more structurally efficient, more technologically advanced, and more environmentally considerate with each new design. Combining pioneering architectural solutions with ecologically sound materials and sustainable construction practices, ZHA’s architecture meets the aspirations of a new generation.
Curated in collaboration with ZHA, the exhibition brings together leading studios, engineers, designers and academic institutions from across the built environment including AKT II and their collaborators, Mamou-Mani Architects and Fab.Pub, alongside leading universities including AADRL at the Architectural Association, The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL and dfUEL at the University of East London
Explore how human creativity and technologies are transforming the creative process, from concept, ideation and experimentation, to fabrication, making and construction

Featuring hands-on workshops, including a model-making workshop by Open City Education, an architectural photography workshop by Mass Collective and a wider series of talks and sessions exploring creative practice, design technology and the future of the built environment, including a keynote from Patrik Schumacher, Principal of ZHA

Collaborating with Free Range for a second year, the exhibitions will bring a major creative takeover to The Truman Brewery, celebrating the next generation of practitioners across photography, fine art, architecture and design

Yes, there is lift access from the entrance in Elys Yard.
There are accessible toilets in the venue and guide dogs are welcome.

There will be a cloakroom to leave bags, coats and other personal items at select times. Please note all items are left at owner’s own risk.

Free Range is a landmark showcase for emerging creatives. It will feature graduate work from across the UK from 16 - 26 July at The Truman Brewery alongside London Creates.

You don’t have to book beforehand, you can register on arrival.
You will need to book tickets for the evening events as there are limited numbers.

Tickets are limited for the Launch Event. There will be updates closer to the time if more tickets become available.
